DailyBurn - on the up and up

There are a few of these applications on the web that help us get rid of what we don't want, or put on what we do want - calorie counters.  Being a person that is constantly aiming to get rid f the last 10 lbs. (and having lost lots of pounds before the last ten) I have seen a progression of apps that help get it done.

This is a 'best-in-class.'

It has the feature that users have come to expect like a large database of pre-populated foods, the ability to add a new food to the list, as well as measurement of calories and other nutrients that are plotted out in daily intake in order for you to reach a time-constrained goal.  DailyBurn also has a sensational user interface that relies heavily on AJAX to reduce the amount of clicks and screens necessary to log the food items and interact with the page in general.

What really did it for me was the iPhone interface that syncs with your account on the web app and even has the ability (with a different app) to scan barcodes so you don't have to do much at all to track what you eat - and it has been proven that the simple process of observation will help you shed unwanted weight.

I'm leaving off the ability for users to interact with others and the functionality attached to that because I'm new to the app and haven't used it much, but it looks fantastic as the rest of it.

Great application, use it.
